Big things are coming to Odana Hills Golf Course—soon to be known as the Odana Hills Golf Park—and we couldn’t be more excited. This beloved west side course is poised for a transformational, multi-million-dollar makeover that will elevate the entire park experience for the Madison community.

The 18-hole course—first opened in 1955 and one of the busiest in the state—will be redesigned with the help of world-renowned golf course developer Michael Keiser. The redesign and construction are estimated to cost between $4.5 and $5 million, generously funded by Michael and Jocelyn Keiser.

The transformation goes far beyond golf. Plans include a welcoming new clubhouse and parking lot, supported in part by the City of Madison and Madison Parks Foundation, along with basketball hoops, tennis and pickleball courts, a new playground, a connecting bike path, and lively summer music programming. Together, these improvements will create a park that truly embodies the foundation’s mission: Parks for All, Forever.

Madison Parks Foundation president, Ty Beck, said it best, “This [will be] an asset to the city forever.”

The Keisers have already helped transform Madison’s park system through their bold

leadership and generous gift to The Glen Golf Park—now one of the city’s most vibrant recreation spaces.

If all goes according to plan, groundbreaking could begin this fall. The course will close for the 2027 season, with the newly redesigned course welcoming golfers back in 2028.

We're calling this revitalization a hole-in-one! 🌳⛳
