Empower Youth and Build Community This Holiday Season with Your Gift

Updated: Dec 18, 2025

The holiday season is a time for giving, but your gift can do more than just bring joy for a moment. It can create opportunities that last all year long. Imagine a child enjoying the pool all summer, a group of kids enjoying healthy snacks while participating in educational programs, or neighbors gathering to enjoy live music in a local park. These moments build confidence, support health, and strengthen community ties. Your contribution, no matter the size, helps make Madison’s parks welcoming and accessible to everyone.

How Your Gift Supports Summer-long Fun for Youth

Smiling children in Madison Parks Goodman pool, three facing the camera, two with backs turned. Bright blue water sparkles in the sun, creating a joyful scene.

Every summer, many children look forward to spending time at Goodman Pool. Swimming lessons here do more than teach kids how to swim—they build confidence and promote safety around water. For just $5 a month, you can help a child access these lessons. This small amount covers access to the pool all season long - the chance to hang out and play with their friends regardless of their economic situation.

Your gift ensures that financial barriers do not keep any child from a summer of fun, building lifetime memories.

Fueling Healthy Growth at Warner Park

Warner Park hosts the K.N.O.W. program, a vital resource for youth in the community. This program serves 30 to 40 children each week, providing healthy snacks that keep them energized and ready to learn. Most of these children come from families living in subsidized housing, and nearly all qualify for free lunch programs.

A $200 donation covers the cost of snacks for a week, supporting children’s nutrition and participation in activities that promote learning and social skills. Proper nutrition is essential for children’s growth and ability to focus, especially in programs designed to help them succeed.

Bringing Community Together with Live Music

Community spaces like Glen Golf Park are more than just green areas—they are places where neighbors meet, families relax, and friendships grow. Live music events at the park create a welcoming atmosphere where people can enjoy time outdoors together.

A $500 gift funds live music performances, making these gatherings possible. Music brings people of all ages together, fostering a sense of belonging and shared experience. Supporting these events helps keep the community connected and vibrant.

Every Gift Makes a Difference

Your donation, whether $5, $200, $500, or any amount, helps keep Madison’s parks accessible and welcoming. These parks provide safe spaces for children to learn, grow, and connect with others. They offer programs that support health, education, and community spirit.

Giving during the holiday season means your impact lasts throughout the year. It helps close out 2025 strong and sets the stage for more opportunities in the future. When you give, you invest in children’s futures and the well-being of the entire community.
